THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The Sports Authority of India, Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (SAI LNCPE) observed “Rashtriya Ekta Divas” (National Unity Day) on 31st October 2023 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This event served as a profound reminder of our nation’s resilience in the face of challenges to its security, unity, and integrity.
The celebration, organized with great enthusiasm, aimed to pay homage to the visionary leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a pivotal role in unifying our diverse nation. The event was graced by the presence of Shri. Balram Kumar Upadhyay, IPS, Prisons & Correctional Services, Kerala, who
inaugurated the event.
Dr. G. Kishore, Principal & Regional Head of SAI LNCPE, was also in attendance, emphasizing the significance of unity in a diverse and vibrant country like India. The occasion witnessed a gathering of faculty, coaches, staff, trainees, and students who came together to celebrate the spirit of unity and
diversity that is the essence of our nation. The day’s activities included flag hoisting, unity run and talks that highlighted the importance of unity and integrity in a rapidly changing world.
This event at SAI LNCPE symbolized the commitment to uphold the values and principles that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel stood for.
