The fourth edition of the Silent Heroes Awards organized by the Event Management Association of Kerala (EMAK) concluded at Grand Hyatt Bolgatty. A. N Shamseer, Speaker, Kerala Legislative Assembly, inaugurated the event. Popular music composer and singer Sithara Krishnakumar was the Guest of Honor at the event.
“Event management has now become an integral part of functions and ceremonies across the state. The smallest weddings to the largest public gatherings require event management to ensure smooth and perfect execution. The Silent Heroes Awards bring those who work tirelessly backstage to the limelight and I congratulate and appreciate the team of EMAK for this event”, said A.N Shamseer, Speaker, Kerala Legislative Assembly.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Jose Dominic Kuruvinakunnel, founder and board member of CGH Earth, for his efforts and accomplishments in the fields of green tourism and resort development. He has previously received many awards, both regionally and internationally, for his initiatives and contributions to sustainable tourism in the state and is a true pioneer in promoting hospitality and tourism.
“The event management fraternity helps to bring a more positive and cheerful atmosphere to any and every gathering across the nation. All those who put in the work have definitely helped to make this industry, one that is full of merriment and celebration”, said Samit Garg, President of the Event & Entertainment Management Association (EEMA, India). “It is indeed a jubilant opportunity for the event management fraternity to gather together as we encourage and appreciate the efforts and achievements of those that made outstanding progress this year. The Silent Heroes Awards is a platform to boost morale among all participants, to deliver even more impressive results in the years to come,” said Raju Kannampuzha, President, Event Management Association of Kerala.
Among the 400 entries that were received, Gold medal winners were announced in 48 categories. Along with these, Silver and Bronze medal winners were also announced, at a total of 182 awards, based on evaluations of a 14-member jury of industry experts from across the country. The 48 categories were classified under 5 heads: Event Decor and Production, Technical Support & Solutions, Entertainment Design, Venue And Catering Solutions, and Personalised Solutions.
The event was a fantastic networking opportunity for professionals in events and allied industries. The event featured a B2B Expo, knowledge sessions, keynotes, panel discussions, awards and entertainment.
Over the years, the Silent Heroes Awards have become a prestigious platform that celebrates the hard work, creativity, and innovation of event management agencies and professionals in the state. The event is conducted yearly to recognize, encourage and award their sustainable efforts.
Popular musicians and bands of different genres, including Nithya Mammen, Arya Dhayal, Thamarassery Churam, Midory, Mihriban – the Arabic Band, and dance groups, including Thandav, Jerry’s Dance Crew and Dynamic Heroes performed at the event.
