Techies’ Literary Event; Writer Indugopan Presents Prizes at Technopark

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Professional demands and compulsions need not come in the way of nurturing and expanding creative sparks, especially in literary pursuits, eminent author and script writer G R Indugopan said.

The writer was speaking after giving away the prizes of literary competition organised by Kerala IT community’s cultural and welfare forum Prathidhwani , at Technopark here. The overwhelming response to the competition organised by Prathidhwani reflected on the keen interest of busy technology professionals in literature and culture regardless of their busy schedule and time-consuming professional demands, he said.

Looking back into his own journey as a writer, Indugopan noted how he broke away from the conventional norms when he wrote his first technology-based novel. “Aspiring writers can also think of treading new paths in crafting exceptional literary works through team work with a sense of collaboration and shared vision,” he said.

VS Bindhu, the Jury Chair, said it is important for budding writers to widen their mental horizon and fine-tune literary skills by wide reading. She also emphasized the pivotal role of writers in defending the country’s constitutional values. Now into its 10th edition, ‘Prathidhwani Srishti ’, literary competition organised by Prathidhwani, aimed at showcasing and promoting the creative talents from Kerala’s IT ecosystem.

Prathidhwani Executive member and representative of the literary club Anildas Hridayadas, who presided over the function, traced the remarkable journey of Prathidhwani Srishti, the literary festival catering to IT employees across Kerala.

In her welcome address, Srishti 2023 convenor Raji Chandrika, highlighted the forum’s deep commitment to nurturing literary talents within the IT community.

The competition received a total of 284 entries from 194 participants representing over 100 companies.
