KOCHI:
As TinkerSpace completes its first year as a platform providing knowledge for free on the IT domains of software and hardware, its organisers are organizing a carnival in the city this Sunday.

The December 17 celebrations at TinkerHub Foundation’s Kalamassery campus can be attended by anyone interested in learning deeper about the trends emerging in technologies such as coding, hardware, ChatGPT and artificial intelligence. Registrations can be made at https://www.tinkerhub.org/tinkerspace/spacecarnival, which also provides basic information on the 12-hour carnival starting at 8 a.m. No academic qualification matters; the participants need to be just curious about IT.

As a non-profit organization, TinkerHub seeks to make use of 21st-century technologies and learning methods to foster a new breed of highly-skilled youngsters. Functioning as a community of tinkerers, makers, policy geeks and students, it works towards mapping and empowering people who share a passion to innovate.

The December 17 TinkerSpace has four highlights: Community Chronicles that dive into inspiring stories and collective accomplishments; Flash Talks Series where members will share personal narratives as experiences; Project presentations aimed at revealing the innovative spirit and Networking Hub that promotes meaningful conversations to foster connections as well as collaborations. Also, there will be a run-through of the foundation’s activities in TinkerSpace during the past one year.

The event is being organized in association with non-profit organisations Samagata Foundation and Foss United. TinkerSpace promotes community learning, as its learners form collectives within and share knowledge. The platform also features sessions giving clarifications for representatives of companies, including MNCs.

TinkerSpace saw the participation of 3,000 people across 130 programs, according to its Cofounder and CEO Moosa Mehar M.P. The Sunday carnival will feature robotics, wireless technology, IoT, 3D printing and design, drone technology and artificial intelligence.
