18 years old, Rudrankksh Patil became the world champion in men’s air rifle in the World Championship in Cairo, Egypt, in October 2022. He shot a world-record 633.9 in first stage of qualification. He became the second Indian to become world champion in air rifle after Abhinav Bindra in 2006
Old and Gold – 105-Year-Old Wonder Woman breaks Sprinting Records!
‘Rambai, at 105 years, wonderfully young at heart and body, won gold in the 100 m race at the National Open master’s Athletics Championships, an annual event for athletics enthusiasts aged 35 years and above, where they come and compete with their peers in various Track & Field events as per their respective age categories.

…the adage needed reiteration! At a glorious 94 years young, Bhagwani Devi sprinted her way into the record books, becoming the oldest person to clinch a gold medal in the fiercely competitive 100m sprint at the prestigious World master’s Athletic Championship held on July 11, 2022.
Golden Triumph at the Thomas Cup
India got its first gold in Thomas cup – men – team championship defeating 14-time champion Indonesia. Thomas cup, sometimes called the World Men’s Team Championships, is an international badminton competition among teams representing member nations of the Badminton World Federation, the sport’s global governing body. The stellar team that claimed the coveted title included: World Championships medallist Lakshya Sen. K. Srikanth and the current world no. 8 doubles duo of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy.

Mithali Raj has etched her name in the history of women’s cricket with a staggering score of 7,805 runs in 232 matches. She became the only woman cricketer to surpass the benchmark of 7000 runs!

At 36th National Games, Rosy Meena Paulraj took the athletics world by storm by clearing a height of 4.20m to break an eight-year-old record of V.S Surekha in women’s pole vault in National games 2022. The pole vault is a jumping event in track and field athletics in which an athlete jumps over a high bar using a pole. A week later, soaring higher, she stunned everyone by surpassing her own record by vaulting an astounding 4.21m at National Open Athletics Championship.
Race walk at light speed
Ram Baboo clocked 2.36.34 to break the previous national record in men’s 35km race walk (2.40.16) by nearly four minutes in the 36th National Games in 2022
