KOCHI:
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Tripunithura, has won the state-level CBSE Cryptic Crossword Competition (CCCC) organised by the Spices Board in Kochi.
Unnikrishnan P V and Radish Menon who won the competition for Chinmaya Vidyalaya will now represent Kera
la at the national level competition to be held at the end of this year. Aditya Haridas and Srihari S from Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Thiruvamkulam were the runners-up in the competition.
The event, an exciting challenge for students from IX to XII, was organised in association with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Fourteen teams representing different schools from Kerala participated in the Kochi city round of CCCC 2016.
Spices Board said it was encouraged by the enthusiastic response and the interest of the students in crossword puzzles, which are known to help enhance vocabulary, lateral thinking, reasoning and analytical abilities.
