Indian Medical Association (IMA) Unveils Unique Booklets at its 98th NATCON Event

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Indian Medical Association (IMA), a national voluntary organization of Doctor of Modern scientific allopathy system of medicine in India, unveiled three-unique booklets on Hydroxyzine, Acid Peptic Disorder (APD) Management and Fever Algorithm at its 98th NATCON event in Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, India. The booklets are part of IMA’s medical initiative supported by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Hyderabad, India.

The booklet titled “Hydroxyzine: An Effective Antihistamine and the Drug of Choice for Pruritus” aims at simplifying the intricacies of Urticaria management in India. The “An Approach to APD and its Management” booklet aims to demystify the complexities of managing Acid Peptic Disorders. The “Stepwise guide for Diagnosis and Management of Acute Fever in Primary Care” serves as a guide in treating fever. The recommendations in the booklets are intended to be a practical guide for General Practitioners (GPs) and Healthcare Professionals enabling them to diagnose and treat respective disease areas effectively in the Indian scenario.

The booklets were unveiled by Dr. Sharad Kumar Agarwal, Immediate past National President, IMA; Dr. R. V. Asokan, National President, IMA; Dr. Anil Kumar J. Nayak, Hon. Secretary General, IMA; and Dr. Jayesh Lele, National Vice President, IMA in a ceremony. The launch was witnessed by several other dignitaries of IMA, senior doctors, medical experts and industry peers. Dr. Snehal Muchhala, Medical Cluster Head (Acute and Vistara), Medical Affairs, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited also joined the unveiling ceremony and delivered a talk on the importance of the booklets.
